Updated: The Berkley Open Submission Program is back!

The window of submission was open at 9 AM EST on Monday, March 25 as we previously reported. Since only the first 1,000 submissions were going to be accepted, apparently a large number of people were there to submit their work. After trying for about thirty minutes, we noticed the main submission/information page had a note added at the top:

*Due of technical difficulties, we are suspending the launch of the Open Submissions program. We will post a new launch date here shortly.*

We’re hoping that the new date is set soon. We’ll keep you up-to-date. Thank you!

The Berkley Open Submission Program is back! The program will open on March 18 at 9am ET, and please note only the first 1,000 submissions will be accepted.

The Berkley Open Submission Program allows writers to submit a ten-page sample of their completed manuscript, no agent needed. We are looking for full-length adult novels in the following genres: romance, women’s fiction, mystery, suspense and thrillers, horror, science fiction, and fantasy.
