DELACORTE ROMANCE IMPRINT TO LAUNCH IN SUMMER 2024

Inaugural list to debut with 5 titles in Summer 2024, with 12 slated to follow in 2025

New York, NY (February 14, 2024)—Delacorte Press, home to industry-leading and #1 New York Times bestselling YA authors including Erin A. Craig, Holly Jackson, and Karen M. McManus, will launch Delacorte Romance, a new imprint dedicated to publishing romance novels for teen readers, led by Wendy Loggia, VP, Senior Executive Editor, Delacorte Press, it was announced today by Barbara Marcus, President & Publisher, Random House Children’s Books. Delacorte Romance will publish love stories for teens featuring the tropes, themes, and authentic depictions of young love that romance readers crave, in an accessible paperback format. The inaugural list, launching in Summer 2024, will feature five titles, with twelve books slated to be published annually beginning in 2025.

Said Marcus: “With the launch of our new Delacorte Romance imprint, we are furthering our commitment to the romance genre, which really blossomed with our Joy Revolution imprint that launched in 2022. The launch of Delacorte Romance will be supported by a major marketing and publicity “Summer of Love” campaign, including the first-ever dedicated young adult presence at Steamy Lit Con 2024, branded “Swoony Lit Con,” and sponsored by Delacorte Romance. Fans will be able to get their hands on exclusive romance swag, among other special activations. Throughout the year, Delacorte Romance authors will appear at romance-themed cons and book festivals such as Love Y’all and YALLwest, as well as on romance themed-panels and book signings across the country, including in support of Indie Bookstore Romance Day in August. Readers will have a myriad of opportunities to engage with the imprint’s authors and editors, as well as via the soon-to-be-launched @DelacorteRomance IG handle, beginning Spring 2024. The inaugural Delacorte Romance list offers readers a variety of escapes—to far-flung locales including Rome, Scotland, and the beaches of Mallorca, Spain—and tropes they crave, including grumpy-sunshine, forced proximity, reality showmance, and fake dating, to name a few.
