This was a surprisingly interesting read. I wasn't sure what to expect although the author's blurb is intriguing. I was hoping what it promised was delivered. It definitely was and I was pleasantly engaged in a rather unique paranormal romance. I was very happy this book wasn't about the usual apocalyptic brain eating zombie. It can be a challenge to write a zombie story that involves intimacy without making the reader squeamish. The author met the challenge and penned a quirky engaging read. It's more than the romance between Jericho and Dex although that is the heart of it. I really liked the craftily plotted and thought provoking societal aspects of the story. That in itself exceeded my expectations as I settled down to an unusual yet absorbing read. The characters and creative plot kept me engaged to the end. The ending left a suggestion of more to come. I hope so.
