Another absolutely fabulous Raine/Wyre production. I was expecting a great read and I wasn't denied the pleasure. These two have a lock on writing some well written top notch m/m romantic fiction. Told in Lucien's point of view the story is structured to create suspense, drama and some of the hottest kinkiest sex you can imagine. Fans of BDSM will appreciate the realistic vivid depiction of the scenes. I can't say enough about how good this book is and how well the characters are written. The powerful and extraordinary use of words led to some delicious banter between the main characters. The supporting characters aren't lacking either, they lend so much to a story that already has lots of flesh on the bones. This one is a first rate highly emotional captivating story. I would recommend reading Hearts Under Fire the beginning in this wonderful world of New Amsterdam. You'll have a better understanding of the back story and the recurring characters. Rumor has it this one gets 5 Hearts. I loved it!
