LOVED IT! This book had everything I like suspense, love and romance, paranormal flavor, and hot sex made all the hotter with the BDSM elements. I know a character has really reached my heart when I empathize so thoroughly with their emotions that tears actually well up. I really felt Tegan’s grief at losing her mate. I felt her hope and fear at finding love again. She just drew me in. I’m familiar with this author and usually love her work but this particular novel was really a home run. The suspense made it a page-turner, and the love story will tug at your heartstrings. When I turned that last page I had to sit there for a minute, I was so disappointed it was over. Now, the story does drag just a bit in the early parts of Tegan and Ben’s relationship as the author goes to great length to make sure the reader really understands what a dominant/submissive relationship is all about. However, I don’t fault her for that, actually, I would recommend this book if you are curious about BDSM novels because of that care. This will be a book I can read again and again.
