| It was extremely cold in Denver in 1886; blizzards came one after another. It seemed nothing was ever again going to warm Gloria Morrison. First her father sold her to an old man for marriage; then Ethan, the man to whom she had given her virtue arrived at the church wanting a quickie before her father forced her down the aisle. After marrying the old man, Abraham Turnbull, his son and daughter-in-law and his staff members treated her like dirt—like she chose this old man for a husband. Nevertheless, she had no choice but to surrender to him; she should not be held responsible just because he was too old and he died!
She ran before the son could have her arrested; unless she was convicted of murder, or dead, he would not be able to inherit the millions left in the Turnbull estate. Bounty hunters immediately sought her and followed whatever trail she left. This poor woman had the worst luck—everybody wanted her for something, but nobody loved or cared about her! Gloria was tough, though, and refused to give up. She spent most of her time freezing in the snow storms trying to hide! This book is a light tale of the trouble one beautiful woman can get into. The characters are solid and believable; there are several who played large parts in the story that evoked compassion and caring or extreme dislike! The sexual encounters are very explicit and frequent. Winter Love is a quick read which you will enjoy!
