| It’s not what’s lurking in the darkness she should fear, but the darkness itself. Aimee’s life is threatened by the truths she learns the day she turns twenty-one. Will she be able to embrace these truths to find the woman she is meant to be?
This story is book one in the Light and Magic series. Aimee’s life was filled with fear and uncertainty from her drugged out mom to the unusual things she sees with her own eyes. Everyday was so uncertain that I felt sorry for Aimee. Her mom knew the answers, but was so dysfunctional that she hindered Aimee’s life with her stubbornness. I found her mother to be selfish and so caught up in her despair that has followed her through most of her life, that she felt justified in leaving her daughter open to a serious threat. Then enters Lael, a guy unlike no other because of who or what he represents. Love, peace, and filled with the light to take away the dark. Thankfully Aimee knew what she had to do and she stood up and fought the evil that stalked her and she did herself proud. This is a magical story filled with what could happen when you gain the knowledge of what’s different in the world.
