Piper Callaghan broke up with her boyfriend of two months because she didn’t trust him. Cooper had disappeared for a couple of weeks after Piper told him their relationship was over. Debi, his sister and Piper’s best friend, just refused to take no for an answer. When Brandi, Piper’s disaster-causing dog, got them evicted from their apartment, Piper had just been granted two weeks’ vacation to complete her novel. When Debi realized that she needed a quiet place to write and edit, she offered their huge home.

It was supposed to be empty. When Piper and Cooper found themselves both staying there, they had to compromise. He was hurt and couldn’t understand why she broke up with him. She wouldn’t trust Cooper but she had to have a chance to edit her manuscript.

Ms. Tierney O’Malley has done a cute, albeit sensual, job of creating this plot. The sex is steamy. The storyline is poignant. I did not anticipate the direction that she took so I was never bored with the book. The conclusion was definitely a surprise even though the resolution of Piper’s problem seemed a bit rushed.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a fast-paced read which will entice as well as captivate your interest. It is a great way to pass an afternoon or evening and will leave you with a euphoric feeling.
