I really can't say enough good things about this book. I loved the story and the characters. Katie is unique and compelling and a great choice to tell the story. She's smart and sassy, yet vulnerable, and her submissive tendencies make her ideal for Jack. Jack is like the perfect fantasy of the boy-next-door, all grown up - only the incredibly sexy and dominant version! The cast of secondary characters is great - a host of intriguing, funny, one of a kind people. And when Jack's ex shows up towards the end, she's absolutely great as the woman you love to hate! The dialogue is quick and witty and it went a long way towards developing the characters. The setting rounded it out - the author really brought the area to life for me - the city, the beach, the rain forest - everything. As if that weren't enough, the sexual tension is sizzling and the love scenes are varied and smoking hot! Ms. Dryden is an incredible talent. This is one of those books I didn't want to end. It's a total fantasy, while at the same time totally believable. It's the first time I've read anything by this author, but I guarantee it won't be the last!
