Serena O'Toole has a shot at turning her local dog training television show "Woof" into a nation wide sensation and life seems good. Then she gets a call that her brother Michael O'Toole, a well known horror author, has disappeared. Serena drops everything and rushes to the tiny town of Eclipse, California to find her brother. Sherriff Jackson Hardy is the kind of guy that flips all Serena's switches but although he seems interested, he doesn't seem to be willing to pursue a relationship with Serena. But Jackson knows Eclipse is not a normal town and Serena is in grave danger every moment she hangs around. If Serena doesn't leave Eclipse soon she may end up there forever…

Eclipse, California is an unusual town filled with people with an unusual condition and Serena and her brother Michael have walked into the middle of a nightmare. It may already be too late for Michael but Serena has a chance if she'll just turn and walk away…unfortunately that does not at all suit Serena'™s strong, intelligent, and curious nature. Jackson falls for Serena almost from the moment she enters his town but he is unwilling to see her cursed the way he is so he tries hard to discourage Serena from prying and to encourage her to leave after she finds her brother. I loved the mystery surrounding the town of Eclipse and the people living there and I loved Serena's strong uncompromising personality. I admired Jackson's willingness to give up Serena if it means her safety but I hated that he felt he was trapped into that decision. If you want to read an eerie yet quirky paranormal romance, then pick up The Werewolf Whisperer! And the best part of the book is that it is the first book in a series… I can't wait to see what happens next.
