Four men who rustle cattle for a living have to be good with their guns. Diego is also great with a game of poker, especially with his marked deck. Joey's a lady's man who has a price on his head because he decided the wife of the local cattle baron, Newell Shelton was fair game. Crazy Kit doesn't talk much but he leads and has taken care of his men. Jesse is the fastest gun in that part of the country. Seems everyone is afraid of him until he runs into Ethan Phillips a singer, piano player who steals his heart.

J.M. Snyder keeps drawing me to her books whatever the subject. With this one she shows she can build a western style tale as well as she does other erotic fiction. The sheriff of the town lives by the whim of the cattle baron but he's also a friend of Kit. Seems he's got both sides covered to ensure some longevity in the wild west. Jesse is a diplomat as well as a fast gun as he shows when he gives a whining cowboy his money back in the saloon.

One of the best things about Ms. Snyder's books is the way she builds the characters. None of us lived in the old west but her descriptions, conversations and the actions of the players just feel right. This is a great piece of western style gay erotica.
