Sophie and Derek are interesting characters that have a depth and a reality. Each has suffered heartache that has made them much different from the people were in high school. The attraction between Sophie and Derek is undeniable as the two get to know one another. I enjoyed how Ms. Gael is able to interweave the past and present without focusing too much on the past. The rules that Sophie is trying so hard to follow will give the reader a good laugh. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Gael.
