Police officer Jude Strand is an excellent cop, dedicated to her job and helping people. Dr. Elliot Black was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth and now is in a position of power and authority in his job. Each is filled with insecurities. A weekend getaway may aid or destroy their relationship.

Jamie Craig has penned an excellent love story. She, or they, since this is really a writing duo, has built Jude and Elliot with great care. Their relationship works in everything sexual, but the author keeps us wondering whether that is enough. Their vacation follows an evening of insecurity for Jude. She accidentally overhears a conversation that makes her doubt the good doctor’s fidelity. As for Elliot, he’s never been in love, never had a long term relationship, doesn’t know if he’s capable of keeping Jude in his life.

The author shares all of their doubts and insecurities with us throughout the tale. Then, in a way only someone who understands relationships can, she shows them how important communication is to a love that will last. Their conversations are excellent, filled with humor and teasing most of the time. The eroticism is very well done with some mild bondage thrown in to show their versatility as lovers who are well suited in every way. I really enjoyed this book and the authors’ gift for keeping realism in fiction.
