When a stolen car is found abandoned with half a million dollars sitting in a duffel bag on the front seat, the sheriff knows the killer has his next victim. When the sheriff calls the owner of the car, Captain Arden Jones, he finds out that the missing woman is her sister Samantha. Arden has not talked to her sister in years, except to send her money. Even though they never got along Arden knew she had to go to Mariposa to try to help find Samantha. As Bill and Arden try to uncover the mystery of the murdered women and find her sister before it is to late , they are also fighting the attraction that seems to keep growing between them. When the murder plot takes on a strange twist Bill and Arden will have to let go of all their beliefs and open their hearts and minds. The Summerland is a great story with a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This book gripped me from the beginning and held me the whole way through. If you like romantic suspense don’t miss this great book by T.L. Schaefer.
