Mark Dole's electrical blue eyes can't erase the wounds in Claire's heart. She needs the deluxe RV the mall is giving away if she's ever going to be free. Claire is sure that of all 20 people taking part in the survivor-esque competition, Mark will be her toughest competition. She doesn't realize that the handsome young man from her past has a mission of his own.

Shirley Jump is an excellent comedic romance writer. The tension between Claire and Mark appears on page one and trickles all the way to the end, pooling and branching off as the story goes on. The combination of characters in such intimate circumstances makes for one laugh after another, and the serious elements while not lending themselves to too deep of a plot keep you moving from page one.

Jump offers us characters we can relate to, and those we aspire to be. Claire Richards is a hardworking girl from a small town. She's been a caretaker all of her life, and lost most of the love she managed to find. Of course, she's got the face and body of an angel and the grace of a queen...and they match her king to a tee.

Mark Dole is the hometown hero, the athlete, the All-American-Son. After years in the playboy role, the loss of his brother's wife has made him see the light. He needs to settle down, and running into Claire seems just right. In a delightful clash of personal need, Jump pits lovers against themselves and the world in a funny, inspiring comedic romance and a series exploring the many faces of love that exist in small towns.
