The last place anyone would expect to find Bridget Rodgers would be a sex club, yet when a friend invites her she can't help but be intrigued. When she happens to order a drink from the bar, she finds herself face to face with baseball's most notorious playboy.

Pro baseball player Chad Gamble is having problems staying out of trouble and when he meets Bridget one night, he finds his world turned upside down. Especially when his club hires him a publicist that sets him strict rules on how to live his life and who also convinces Bridget to pretend to be his girlfriend.

The plot of this story was brilliant, and I loved how it started with the heroine being in a place someone would never expect to find her in. As for the dialogue, it was well-written the way it combined playful moments between Chad and Bridget when they first met to serious ones when it was time for Bridget to act as Chad's girlfriend. The sex scenes were steamy once they finally came about in the book and illustrated how strong the connection between these two was. What I liked so much about Bridget was how she handled being conned into being Chad's pretend girlfriend because she knew to refuse would be the end of the one good thing in her life – her job. While with Chad, I liked his playful nature and that he could get away with being so conceited, especially with Bridget whom loved to remind him of his arrogance all the time.

Having read the first book of the Gamble Brothers series, I couldn't wait to read this one and I'm glad I did because it was certainly a delight to read. Plus, it has me looking forward to upcoming books in this series.
