| Blade Vaughn has secretly lusted after Candice for a long time. When he unexpectedly comes upon her at the gym one day, surrounded by several men and wearing a terrified look, he decides the time has come to make his presence known. Candice is mortified that Blade saw her during her panic attack since she's so nervous around all men and she flees so she won’t have to talk to Blade. Blade pursues Candy and makes her tell him why she was so terrified. He decides he’ll be the one to ease Candy’s fear of men.
Tasting Candy is a very powerful story. It touches on a problem in society today with sensitivity and emotion without letting it bog down the story. Blade is a hero every woman would like to have – considerate, manly, sensitive, emotionally strong, and faithful. Candice is a product of her past – a strong woman who is scared of living. It takes the caring and patience of Blade to bring her out of her pain and let her believe in herself. Tasting Candy is definitely a book for the keeper shelf – full of passion, sensitivity, emotion, and most of all, the message of a love strong enough to last for a lifetime.
