|Tameka is new to town and has moved into her grandma's house. On the way to her house, she gets pulled over by Chad even though she hadn't done anything wrong. Chad is drawn to Tameka right away and that is why he pulls her over. Chad puts her up against the car and breaks some rules. He cannot believe how far he goes with the ruse but it is their connection -- they are true mates. Tameka cannot believe how far she lets him go. He then follows her home and shows up with dinner a little while later after he had changed.
I loved the characters in this story. They were really well-written and I loved how they interacted and their personalities. Chad has not been in the pack very long and was not raised in a pack. He was in foster care and so did not know a lot of things. It was cool getting to see Tameka and Chad learn together what it meant to be in a pack. There is plenty of action in this story. Someone is trying to scare off Tameka from the land and then they start attacking. There are a lot of twists and turns throughout this story that keeps you guessing. The sex is explicit and frequent but not overly so. It added to the story for me. There was a definite connection from the very beginning and feelings built quickly. There were some definite scenes that made me laugh. Once I started reading this story I didn't want to stop. I wanted to know what was going to happen next. This is part of a series, the fifth instalment. I would recommend reading the others in this series before reading this but it is not completely necessary. It would give a fuller understanding of the dynamics and underlying things going on in the story. The characters from the previous books are in each story.
