| Ross Thatcher pulls into a small town in Texas to have his truck looked at. Tommy 'Tank" Preston owns the shop, works for cash or sometimes barter with a sideline making hot sauce and salsa. The two guys hit it off so Tank offers Ross a place to stay while waiting for his truck to get fixed. They have so much in common it looks like the stay-a-while might turn into forever.
Julia Talbot does a great job with this story about the last Thatcher boy finding a mate. Both men are so well done as men who have common interests, common values and work so much in sync that love just seems to grow. They're together over a month before their friendship turns into romance, each a little afraid of rejection. Ms. Talbot paints such an excellent picture of the relationship between the two men and their families that the book just flows. I also love Colorado and Texas, the people, the places, the atmosphere. She does a superb job pointing out the glory of both and the nitty gritty reality of the small town people who are so warm and caring. The Thatcher family, Binky, Tank’s brother and so many people along the road they travel for fishing, sightseeing, entering the salsa and sauce in the fair are so real. The author keeps the storyline simple, erotic and all about the good things that can happen in life. This is a great read.
