| Celeste Kolowski had been alone for eight years. Her husband had left her for a much younger woman and she forced herself to lock in her feelings so that she wouldn’t be hurt again. She had purchased her apartment five years ago and lived above a detective for the Cooper Valley Police Department, Paul Jensen.
Paul had heard her conversations for all these years and finally admitted that he wanted no one but Celeste. She was twelve years older than he, but he didn’t care. He saw her frequently when he would have to go to the emergency room where she was senior nurse. When Celeste broke her routine and brought a man home with her, Paul was devastated...until he heard through the vents that she was in trouble. He broke into her apartment wearing only his socks and a pair of leopard print underwear. Ms. Anna Leigh Keaton has once again shown her great ability to impart the best of plots in a storyline to die for. Older woman, younger man is not a new slant. However, in this case, the way the main character’s two grown daughters had lusted after the detective is innovative. The approach she took in presenting the two in the initiation of their relationship is spell-binding. The sensual scenes are intense and poignant. The steamy sex created the backdrop of a wonderfully told story with a surprise ending. I highly recommend this book.
