Survival of the Fairest is one of the funniest and more enjoyable books I’ve read lately. Ani is the quiet twin who never steps out of line which leaves Tali being the one who is more adventurous and constantly in trouble. Unfortunately this time, her escapade changes her life in a major way. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Tali go from acting like a spoiled child to a more mature young woman who finds her bondmate. She cracked me up with her ignorance of human ways. She also managed to twist my heart strings when things get out of control and she has to help rescue an official of her government.

Jake Story is a struggling magician who gets caught up in Tali’s adventure. Jake is also a man who has no knowledge of his true family background. Meeting Tali eventually leads Jake to this knowledge.

Ms. Wallace has written a wonderfully entertaining story of love, magic, fairies, gnomes and almost anything else you can think of. I hope she has more stories set in this world to come. Anyone who likes fantasy stories containing the ingredients I previously mentioned should run and get this book. Just make sure you’ve got plenty of time to savor it because you won’t want to put it down once you start.
