| J.D Andrews is lost because a familiar road on the way to his parent's cabin is blocked off. He hasn't been there for years and his GPS isn't working. He's saved by a local policeman, Russ Seavers, in more ways than one. Not only is he hot, he's also gay. J.D. doesn't want any kind of attachment. He's been burned by love and just wants a light hearted fling. Seems Russ may want something else.
Catt Ford has built one of those funny-sad romances that seem to have potential to grow without the fears of one of them holding it back. J. D. is a fun and witty man when he's not lost in the doldrums with his memories. He's willing to write off the new relationship without taking into account all the differences between Russ and Allan, his lost love. Russ is a tough cop but also a romantic who's willing to bring flowers the man he seems to be courting. Ms. Ford does a great job building the story and finding a catalyst that may help J.D. get over his fears.
