Jordan hasn't had loving of any kind in two years. He decides to remedy that by summoning a succubus from the bowels of hell to satisfy his pent up desires. But he hadn't counted on the demon he calls Annie being more than just a pretty green face. If he finds himself captivated by her, will the powers of the netherworld allow her to be his?

Sapphire Phelan's story has layers of humor that combine well with the erotic tale of a demon and the mortal who wants her. Jordan and Annie -- or Elianta as she prefers to be called -- are winning characters whose feelings for each other surpass what one would expect from a soul-sucking demon and a guy who was looking for a hot one night stand. Instead, the reader is drawn into the possibilities of the relationship. The story is fast-paced and the secondary characters well developed for such a short story. Ms. Phelan's devil in particular is a very original interpretation of the archetype.

I smiled the entire time I read this book. While the erotic element is strong and the chemistry between the characters is undeniable, there is a generous sprinkling of quirkiness that appealed to me from the start. This short will not disappoint any of Sapphire Phelan's fans.
