Life has given Hannah more than a few “hard knocks.” After the loss of her father and brother, she struggles as a waitress trying to make ends meet and keep her mother in a private nursing home. Lily is Hannah’s best friend and the owner of a strippers-for-hire business. When she tries to convince Hannah to fill in as a stripper for a bachelor party, Hannah has more than a few reservations. Although Lily has filled her in on the details, Hannah can’t help but feel there is something more that Lily hasn’t told her. That something, turns out to be Miller -- the one man from her past that she wanted to be reacquainted with. However, this is not how she imagined it happening.

I was able to relate to each character immediately. You can sense Hannah’s desperation, her timidity that battles with her own desire. Yet she is no spineless, simpering woman. Quite the contrary – Hannah shows herself to be quite the feisty little heroine when faced with what she believes to be an insulting proposition. With his dominant personality, Miller comes across as the bad boy – worthy of every woman’s hottest fantasy – darkly alluring, self-assured and oozing sex appeal. However, there are moments throughout the story when he appears charmingly unsure of himself as he struggles to deal with his awareness of Hannah not only on a physical level, but emotionally as well. The sexual tension between these two characters is incredible. The sex scene is incredibly hot. The elements of BDSM while not over-the-top enough to make a typical erotica reader squeamish, are certainly spicy enough to have even the most hardcore BDSM reader squirming in his/her seat. As a reader I was totally drawn in... unaware that I was holding my breathe until it was released in an audible whoosh.
