| The first book in a new werewolf series is sure to gain many followers and leave readers waiting for the next book in the series.
Seth Kolski is a werewolf and does a great job at hiding it from everyone else. With the loss of his sister his loneliness grows by leaps and bounds. A wolf longs for a pack, but Seth is intent on staying to himself. Then a childhood love steps into the picture and Seth suddenly wants everything he thinks he can’t have. Believing she could never accept the animal that lurks inside him, he figures the best he can give her is one night of intense passion and then he will walk out of her life forever. Jamie is a single mother and the most important thing to her is protecting her child. She sees Seth as someone who is like her, shy and introverted. She has no idea of the real secret that he is hiding and why. Jamie knows she wants a relationship with Seth, but he keeps putting up barriers between them. Jamie is looking for the long-term relationship she knows they can have, but Seth is intent on having a simple fling and leaving it at that. Can Jamie convince him to give their love a chance? Readers will find themselves going through various emotions in this book. Love, trust, betrayal, suspense, action and passion are just a few that will capture readers and hold them captive until the last page. The character development is wonderful and I felt like I really got inside of Jamie and Seth’s head. You feel the pain and despair of Seth losing his sister and the stark loneliness he is feeling. On the other hand you feel the protective instinct of Jamie and her desire to make a relationship with Seth work. Jorrie Spencer has created a fantastic story that is sure to earn her a huge following and have readers eagerly awaiting the next installment of this series.
