| Drew, a Shadow Destroyer, has more issues on his hands than just the Shadows Demons he hunts and destroys. His life has taken an unexpected direction and he thinks he's losing his edge in the fight to rid the world of evil. Given an assignment at a beach resort, he meets Blair. Attraction is immediate and powerful and leads to a night that he won't soon forget.
Following up on a lead in relation to a former corrupt district attorney, journalist Blair considers forsaking her lead when she has dinner with Drew. Fortunately for Blair, he's there to rescue her when she accidentally makes her presence known while eavesdropping on a clandestine meeting. A night of passion fuels her fantasies long after she's back home. Unfortunately, Blair's investigation then takes a decidedly dangerous turn and her life changed forever. Blair had no prior knowledge of Shadow Demons but her initiation is violent and suddenly she's thrust into a world that's terrifying. Coming to terms with her new abilities and knowledge will take courage and a lot of control. Drew finds himself in a situation that he never anticipated and doesn't quite know how to handle it, this makes him vulnerable and unsure of himself. There is plenty of high-octane action and the pace is fast and exciting. The love scenes are delicious, provocative, and well-written. The characters, as in the previous books, are memorable. One of the things I love about this series is that characters/Shadow Destroyers from the previous books all make appearances, which adds richness and continuity. Storm Warning is book three of Sydney Somers' Shadow Destroyers series yet easily stands alone. I can guarantee you'll want read to others. I couldn't put down this thrilling installment. Awesome!
