Cordelia is an interior decorator working on the lavish Florida mansion of Luis Montoya. The extremely attractive widower is often seen at society events with an actress or model on his arm, but is rarely at home. When she responds to the cries of his young daughter, whose nanny has quit without notice, she is appalled that the child seems neglected and lets Luis know what she thinks. This leads to a marriage of convenience that rapidly grows into something more.

This is another fine work by Ms. Hofman with two likeable main characters and a sensual love story with enough complications to keep things interesting. Cordelia can be a little insipid at times, but is likeable none the less. Her growing love for both Luis and his daughter Luz make this warm hearted story an easy read. Luis is strong, sexy and very protective of his wife. I did feel that I was missing something when the romance of her cousin Crystal and Leandros was mentioned, but hopefully that means another book is in the offing. The subplots of Phillip and Lady Rosemary and Diego and Maria and their marriages really highlight the rare thing that Cordelia and Luis have. I really like Ms. Hofman's Florida town where the nice girls win out over the witches every time and where happy ever after love stories bloom.
