Dr. Michaela Roarke wants a one night stand, and the moment she lays eyes on Detective Jackson Cantrell, she knows he's the man she wants. With her world spiralling out of control, she sets out to seduce him.

Jackson Cantrell can't believe his luck when a beautiful woman sets out to seduce him. After they part ways after an amazing night, Jackson believes he'll never see Michaela again. When her father hires him to protect her from a stalker, he sees no way out of not taking the job. Especially when her father threatens to make sure he doesn't get back his dream job with the FBI.

The plot of this book started out brilliantly with Michaela setting off to find herself a man for the night and it got more interesting the further into the book I read. As for the dialogue, I enjoyed the combination of seriousness when it came to the threats to Michaela and the flirtatious manner of the heroine in order to get her man. The sex scenes were hot, and kept getting hotter. They revealed the chemistry Michaela and Jackson had exceptionally well. What I liked so much about Michaela was that she was so independent and didn't want anyone protecting her. In the end, she accepted Jackson's help because she knew she could trust him. While with Jackson, I liked how sneaky he was in getting Michaela to see that she needed him in order to protect her.

In conclusion, this book was a tremendous read and has me hoping there's more to come if this is to be part of a series because the secondary characters certainly deserve their own tales told.
