| Sylvie is at her friends wedding and trying to enjoy herself, when she sees a man across the room that has always tugged at something inside her, Kalen. She knows he’s there for the bride, just in case there can be something between them again, but that’s not going to stop her from having some fun. After all, it’s not like they are going to stay together forever, is it?
Kalen came to Maggie’s wedding on the off chance that she might have changed her mind about being with him. When he finds out she just felt obligated to invite him, he decides to turn to another woman to ease his pain. The trouble is, Sylvie is unlike anyone he’s ever known, and he’s finding himself in deeper than he wanted to be… I enjoyed this story a lot, I thought it was fun to read and I loved the way Sylvie was not afraid to go her own way. I would have liked it even more if the author had spent more time on the characters and what they did for a living. I never really figured out what their talent was, Kalen’s was mentioned only once, and I don’t think that Sylvie’s was mentioned at all. I’ve read the other two of this series, and I thought that the first one, Elemental Passion, was the best out of the three so far. If you want to understand Kalen and Sylvie’s world a little better, I recommend that you read the series in order; Natalie Damschroder developed an excellent background that really makes the stories come together.
