This story could almost be titled ‘from the frying pan right into the fire!!!’

Ms. Ash builds a powerful story of passion, fear, true love and evil creatures who use mind control. Her heroine never once, no matter how intense the battle to take over her mind and body, wants to run back to daddy and give in to his control. I love the way she builds Katsumi’s character. Initially she sounds like a spoiled brat but she just grows and grows. I definitely have a weakness for strong, female, take-charge characters. Ms. Ash also draws the vampires and mutant creatures well. But, no matter how much control they could have because of their powers, Katsumi’s quick thinking helps prove that she deserves to be called a heroine. Adon, her love, is excellent but takes second place to Katsumi when the going gets tough. This isn’t really a funny story or plot but it is a lot of fun to read.
