Muriel (Elle) Simmons was a leader in risqué runway fashion design; she was definitely having a melt-down. When Jacob (Jay) Evans, owner of Evanesque Design, and partner with Muriel for 20 years, questioned her submitted designs for the new season, she had a fit! She slammed down the phone, told her assistant that she was going home sick, and left. She refused to answer Jacob when he calledso he just flew to her. When she would not let him in, he used his key. After all, they were best friends; they had been co-workers for so long, they knew each could depend upon the other.

Muriel had seemingly lost her edge; she was overweight, wore sloppy clothes, and had gray in her hair! She looked as if she no longer cared but that was not the truth. She now ran the Boston office while he was located in New York. Since they had gone international, they were so busy they didn’t get to spend much time together. And besides all that…Muriel was lonely. She was about to turn 40 and didn’t have anything that was personally hers.

Muriel and Jacob were both dynamic, upscale fashion designers. Their personal collections each season cemented their name for their business. Ms. S.D. Grady has done an excellent job of creating an impressive story with hot, sensual scenes which will make you sweat, but do not dominate the story! The two main characters were swept away to St. Eustace, Mexico, which allowed for definite reflections not only their relationship, but also their business. The surprise ending definitely took me by surprise.

I like this book immensely and highly recommend it to all. It is a fast-paced, sexy story which proves that old age is definitely in your mind!
