| Cassie has moved to the small town of Napping to get away from her visions. She dreams of things that are yet to happen, horrible things. To make matters worse, when she tells anyone about them, they shun her, and in the last place they forced her to leave her apartment. She is tired of being labeled a freak and hopes that a quiet town will not have the violence of a big city and she will live in peace. For a while, she is right, until the night she dreams of Carol Knight lying dead on the floor of her kitchen. She does not want to jeopardize her new relationship with the Sheriff, but she has to tell Ty, no matter what the consequences.
I loved this story. Ty and Cassie have a sizzling chemistry that practically scorches the pages of this book. Their love scenes are edgy and very erotic. Cassie’s sleuthing is also pretty interesting and I loved the small town where everyone knows what everyone else is doing, most of the time. The murder mystery has a few unexpected twists, but all the clues are there for the reader to find. The characters are very well written and quirky, fitting the small town atmosphere. Ty’s predictable reaction to Cassie’s confession of her psychic ability added more tension to the charged atmosphere of the town. Cassie’s horses and Dan’s cows added a little comic relief and rural atmosphere, as does Ginger and her diner. This story has a bit for everyone, a love story, a murder, a little psychic phenomena, and more than a little humor.
