What a journey these two have! Like any great story there are great sexual episodes, a little suspense and humorous dialogue mixed into the plot. Ms. Bright has given us a fast moving tale filled with little pieces of history. Nymphs, gods and goddesses, monsters, a raging war torn land, oracles all blend together to add challenges, riddles and spice to the story. Like Kalliope we’re a bit put off that Demetrios can have sex with a wizened old crone but a guys gotta do what a guys gotta do in the interest of saving their lives! The author doesn’t let Demetrios have all the fun as Kalliope has to put her abilities as an actress to the test to woo Generals of different sexual persuasions to ensure their safe passage to their goal. This is excellent fantasy fun!
