| Dr. Daniel Morgan had not planned to become a professor. He planned to be a star. The morning he walked into his first period class at Butler Williams University in Tabor Heights, Ohio, he thought he saw a ghost. Almost twenty years ago, his girlfriend was pregnant. She refused to marry him and her rich mother (as well as her lawyers) made sure Daniel never came around her again. Now a young woman sat in his class who looked exactly like Lynette Teague.
Lynette Tyler was glad Kat was away at school. For some unknown reason, Kat hated Lyn’s husband of ten years. The couple owned and operated Chef Michael’s Catering but Kat never came around Mike if she could help it. Lyn and Mike constantly fought over his obsessive behavior about her daughter. Then she ran into Daniel at Kat’s Thanksgiving dinner. Ms. Michelle Levigne has presented her readers with a topnotch plot concerning a couple who were together during college days and then reunited twenty years later. Her characters were diverse but strong in their belief systems. One was a dynamic Christian. The other wasn’t. We were introduced to a myriad of people who made up the town of Tabor Heights. The Taber Christian Church was an influential part of this inspirational book. The grace of God was woven throughout the storyline but it was not a preachy book. This small town, while filled with caring people, was so typical of many small-town ways. Levigne developed her characters so that readers were shown an overview of Tabor Heights. I felt as if I was walking into the various shops and businesses there and talking with the people. This author has a unique way of telling her story which, in my opinion, captures the readers’ attention and doesn’t let go. I couldn’t put the book down. I highly recommend it to anyone—even young adults. There is a beautifully sweet storyline. I can’t wait for the upcoming book to see who is next. Great job, Ms. Levigne!
