When a harrowing incident leaves Gabe Bristow unfit for duty as a Navy Seal, he's offered a chance to become part of a private hostage rescue team as the team leader. His first mission to rescue an American Businessman from rebels, yet however, the bunch of misfits he's been assigned don't make the mission seem as if there's going to be a positive outcome. And to make matters worse, somehow, the sister of the businessman becomes involved as she was the last person to hear from her brother.

Audrey Van Amee receives a harrowing phone call from her brother and immediately knows something is wrong. When she decides to take matters into her own hands to determine what has happened, she finds herself face-to-face with a man she doesn't know. The only question is whether she can trust him to help find her brother.

I really enjoyed the start of this book and how Audrey's brother was kidnapped and he'd managed to relay a message to her that something was wrong. The plot was strong, and I loved how well the bunch of misfits worked together considering their various backgrounds. The dialogue was good and I loved how Audrey was a strong heroine and would do anything to get her brother back, even placing herself in harm's way. The sex scenes were hot, and placed perfectly within the story because Audrey and Gabe found themselves in a bad situation and couldn't deny their attraction when they didn't know what could happen to either one of them. What I liked so much about Audrey was her strength and how she wouldn't give up on her brother until she knew what had happened to him and how she would get him back. While with Gabe, I liked that once this hero realised there was something worth fighting for, he did everything in his power to make sure that Audrey stayed safe.

Overall, Ms. Burrows has definitely impressed me with this novel and I can't wait to read more of this series in the future. Because undeniably the secondary heroes in this story deserve their own tales.
