| Violet Calder of Calder’s Investigations is on a case in search of a missing dog. She ends up in the middle of an undercover police investigation.
Detective Reece Prescott was in a meeting with the Ecstasy dealer when he sees Violet Calder. Unfortunately he’s not the only one that sees her. Now Violet has been introduced as his girlfriend to keep her from danger. He had wanted to ask her out forever but did not plan on it being during an investigation. Violet also desires Reece but is afraid how he will react when he discovers that she is a witch. Spellbound: Say You’re Mine by Sydney Somers is a creatively fascinating paranormal romance filled with humor and passion. Each of the main characters has reasons for not acting on their desires. Reece is afraid of Violet’s overprotective brothers and Violet is afraid of how Reece will react when he discovers her family’s secret. She’s afraid of being labeled a freak and Reece running as far away as possible. When forced to act as lovers they get to behave as they have desired for a long time. Their romance moves quickly and becomes hot and heavy in a flash. Steamy intimate scenes are described in explicit graphic detail for the reader’s imagination. The relationship between Violet’s brothers and Reece is hilarious. There is also plenty of exciting action as Violet finds herself in the middle of two different crime scenes. For a fast paced, humorous, paranormal romance filled with passion, I recommend Spellbound: Say You’re Mine by Sydney Somers.
