| Regan Thomas is an avid animal rights activist, and runs into more that she expected at Nathan EpocĒs infamous lab. She almost gets caught but is saved by one of the subjects, a huge wolf. She later finds him sleeping on her couch where he turns into a naked man. Both of them are on the run from Epoc, who has sword to kill every wolf in the strangerĒs pack, and Declan is the last one. Declan lost his only sister to EpocĒs cruelties and he must stop the insane Alpha from creating a monster wolf who will be virtually unstoppable. He also must protect Regan, who is rapidly coming to mean everything to him.
This is on rollercoaster ride of a story. The main characters are on the run throughout the story and the author has captured that feeling in telling their story. I definitely needed to catch my breath at the end. There is a bit of violence and mention of rape, but all off scene and necessary to the plot. I really liked Regan and Declan and their whirlwind love story. Epoc and his sidekick McCoy are truly chillingly evil. Yolanda is a bit confusing, even at the end, I still wondered about her, but the subplot of her becoming ReganĒs policeman brother PeterĒs partner enhanced the story. Rex the lizard is an interesting addition. The combination of a very exciting plot, great characters, evil megalomaniac werewolves, and a sad back story make this a book that will be very difficult to put down.
