Dru has been after the leader of a human trafficking ring for over two years and has resigned herself to doing whatever it takes to bring him down. She believes she is making progress using her special talents but it's taking a toll on her mentally and physically. She meets Joss and believes him to be part of the ring when in reality he is also undercover. Dru and Joss connect on a mental level where they realize they knew each other in another lifetime. Dru just has to survive this mission so that maybe she and Joss can have their happily ever after.

Spellbinding and nonstop action make this a book you can't put down! Strong leading characters backed up by a cast of strong supporting characters keep you glued to the pages.

Joss's special talent as a 'mirror' allows him to absorb the talents of other psychic agents through a syncing process. Dru is able to read memories by touching the other person. Their abilities often caused them mental anguish adding even more suspense to this story. And suspenseful it was even though the villain was not hidden. His utter evilness made you cheer on the heroine through all the trials she experienced at his hands. I loved how Joss's fellow FBI agents featured prominently in the book without taking over the plot. All their abilities and talents worked together to further the plot and kept the book flowing smoothly. Walker is a great suspenseful storyteller, weaving the suspense and romance seamlessly to keep the reader engaged until the very end. I definitely recommend this book, and the entire series. While not necessary to read the previous books, I highly recommend it for your sheer enjoyment.
