When Haley O’Brien’s unscrupulous colleague unearths some ancient scrolls from a ring of standing stones in Ireland, she is forced to bring them to the attention of the authorities. Something about Conall draws her cold though he is. Conall’s soul has been imprisoned in the stones for over nine hundred years. He is forced to be reborn again and again without it until someone magical finds the scrolls and reads them. Haley frees the Prince of the Fae and finds out much about her heritage and her destiny, if she can only survive it.

This is a wonderful trip into the world of the Fae. The characters though from another world are easy to like for the most part, except for the ones you are really meant to dislike. They are such real people you will feel like you know them and I felt sympathy for Haley both in dealing with her overprotective husband and nosy irritating sister in law, just like in real families. Conall and his family are very close and don’t get it that Haley gave up her entire life to be with him. I loved how she stood up for herself time and time again and I wanted to smack Conall upside his head for being so dense, especially in regards to his sister Aideen. Each time she left the hill, I was on the edge of my seat as to what would happen next. Ninane is insanely evil and predictable in that way, but you will never guess who is unknowingly betraying Haley’s movements to her. This is a very exciting tale with some thrillingly suspenseful scenes and a very erotic love story. I doubt you will be able to put it down until the end.
