Isabella Buchanan Carrington has been suffering through her farce of a marriage because she has nowhere to run and nobody to trust, not even her father. Going on a TV dance show is her only opportunity of getting away because the publicity should give her some protection. That protection comes in the form of rookie cop Razor, recovering from his last assignment and trying to get his edge back. He doesn't like their instant attraction and its distraction from his investigation of her involvement in a sex slavery ring. Razor will have to learn to trust his instincts, and Isabella, to save them both.

Introducing Razor and Isabella separately builds up their backgrounds and explains what leads them into their partnership on the dance floor. The action picks up and the passion ignites from the moment they meet. The demons from their past keep them from trusting each other in the beginning, but their attraction is undeniable. The more time they spend together, the harder it is for them to fight it, and the more willing they are to trust each other. Their struggles with the attraction they feel for each other allow the readers to really get to know Razor and Isabella.

Razor is a wonderful character, a man who will do anything to help those who need it and put away the bad guys. He is exactly what Isabella needs, but she has to learn to trust him and let him help her first. Her hesitance to tell him her secrets highlights her knowledge of the power her husband and father wield as well as her need to protect innocent people from their wrath. Once she lets him in and he learns the truth, nothing will be able to keep them apart.

Jayne Rylon has written a fantastic follow up story to the first Men in Blue book. This book is a lot of fun and has plenty of unexpected twists that lead up to a great ending. Though they can be read individually, after meeting the characters readers will want to read all of the books.
