| Twenty six year-old virgin Lily Brown Is leading a rather boring Iowa existence. She does her clerical job, keeps her home very neat, and swoons over Roberto Gutierrez, the hunk next door.
Then her "sort-of" brother, Michael Tate, drops in for a visit. Mikey's an aspiring actor, having played roles like corpse number two and other background bits. But he's filmed his own movie now, and hopes to make millions with it by blackmailing one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Mikey calls his feisty semi-sibbling "G," short for Ghengis Khan. She won't let him down, even though she knows he's headed for big-time trouble. Lily and Mikey compare foster family notes and share a genuine affection. Lily is the sensible one, and Mikey... He gets Lily into real danger by leaving her a copy of his film. There's some fierce tension and more than a bit of fun along the way. Rob is a likable and well-developed male lead. The bad guys are a bit of a surprise and the conclusion is fairly logical and satisfying. Despite the leggy female on the cover, the blackmail footage would out a top actor as a gay. That relationship is not explicitly displayed. The romance is the one between Lily and Rob, and is indeed satisfying. Roberto's family is interesting, amusing, but not intrusive in the story line. This is a very enjoyable read.
