|Bethany has no idea why she was kidnapped and locked in a crazy scientist's lab. She has just about lost all hope when one of her fellow prisoners creates an opportunity for them to escape by doing the impossible, turning into a wolf. Bethany discovers a truth about herself; she is half werewolf herself. Quinn is searching for his sister Chrissten, Bethany's fellow prisoner. Bethany should be merely a source of information to the whereabouts of his sister, but she is also his mate.
This series is always full of drama, action, complicated love stories and this novel is no exception. Quinn and Bethany have both been beaten up a bit by life, but are very strong in spirit. They both doubt they are deserving of love, but together are much stronger than they are apart. The plot is full of action and suspense and a villain as diabolical as they come. I loved Bethany's character; she is a bit of a loner due to her upbringing. Her mother moved them around a lot to keep them safe from the very people who finally captured her. Her adjustment to her discovery of her heritage and abilities is masterfully described by the author. Ms. Walters has created a really complete world where werewolves and half breed wolves live alongside humans. The prejudice of the pure wolves against the half breeds adds another realistic twist to the series and this story makes the most of that situation.
