| Nico is on his way to spy on King Lucan, when he’s captured by his men. Figuring that the best way in is to go as a captive; he decides to let himself be taken. He discovers that King Lucan is more depraved than he ever imagined, and that he’s keeping a woman that is a healer captive. She’s forced to heal Nico from the tortures inflicted upon him, once Nico meets her he knows that there is no way he can leave her there when he escapes.
Riki’s life has been horrible since she was taken a slave and made to serve King Lucan. She’s had to hold him together from his experiments, been forced to watch his tortures and heal the victims. The only thing that has saved her from his lust is that he thinks it will destroy her powers if he takes her. Riki believes that as well, and when Nico is thrown at her feet, she starts to wish it wasn’t true. I think that Prince of Spies is the best one of the series so far. I really liked Nico, he is his own man and is quite ruthless when he needs to be. Riki has had a hard life, but manages to come across as a strong person who will survive. The sex between the two is definitely out of this world, passionate and honest, it really adds to the story. These two people strike a lot of sparks off each other, and the story certainly keeps you hooked as you find out more of what is going on in the Dragon Knights world. I believe that you could read this one as a stand alone, but once you do you will want to race out and buy the other three from the series. Prince of Spies is a fantastic story that shouldn’t be missed.
