| Gavin Holloway went to the airport (two hours away from his ranch) to pick up his best friend, Jacob’s, sister, Christina Scott. Christina and Jacob had planned to spend this Christmas together. Even though Jacob lived on Gavin’s ranch, Christina had never met Gavin or so she thought.
Six months before, these two previously-hurt individuals met aboard a cruise ship and spent an incredible week together. They used only first names (both used their middle names of Lynn and Paul) and gave no information about themselves. When Gavin realized that Lynn was, in fact, Christina and that she was Jacob’s sister, he was instantly apprehensive. He had been taken advantage of by his previous fiancé and her brother who planned to take his land from him. He assumed that Jacob and Christina had the same plans. Ms. Anna Kathryn Lanier, a new author to me, has done a wonderful job of telling this story with easy of reading and noticeable tension in the air. To find out the secret intentions of the brother-sister duo, you must read this book. Ms. Lanier has created a plot with a different slant, a close-knit brother-sister unit, a couple of characters who had searched for the other after their liaison during the summer, and sexual tension and sensual scenes to make a body tingle. This is a short book but a quick read which packs a BIG punch! It’s heart-warming reading with enough conflict to make it interesting. Great job; you will certainly enjoy reading this book.
