A young woman is murdered on the beach. A vice-president of a company she did business with was murdered in his office soon after. The common denominator was sexy as sin businessman and rich playboy, Nicholas Carrera. Problem was, our by the book, hard as nails homicide detective, Taylor O'Ryan was falling for him - hard. The first victim had an affair with a county commissioner who was now making a bid for a U.S Senate seat. He'd broken off the affair, so she'd threatened to go public and destroy any chance of his getting elected. It wouldn't go over well with his very rich wife or her family either. Certainly motive for murder, but did Taylor want him to be guilty because she needed Nick to be innocent?

I really loved this book by Julie Cambria. It is impressively well written, the main characters well developed as well as several of the secondary characters, the sex is fantastic, and the suspense is to die for. This is romantic suspense at its best. Even if you aren't usually a fan of romantic suspense, you'll enjoy this book. I couldn't help falling in love with our hero and I was endeared to the heroine from page one. All that she sacrificed for her little sister she did lovingly without resentment. He worked his way up from nothing but never forgot his duty to give back and never lost touch with the importance of family and many other things more valuable than money. The mystery was exceptionally well written and beautifully orchestrated. Point Blank by Julie Cambria is a gilded feather for the author's cap. This is a book you don't want to miss.
