From the moment she first lays eyes on Bryce, CJ recognizes that he is the type of trouble she needs to avoid. Her prickly attitude is her best defense against the attraction she feels for Bryce. Unfortunately, her snide remarks and biting banter only seem to make him want her more. The dialogue between CJ and Bryce is usually fast paced and witty and definitely highlights their personalities and how well matched they are. Bryce uses his wit, charm, and persistence to batter against the walls CJ has built around herself. His actions go a long way to breaking down CJ until she is ready to give in to the undeniable attraction she feels for him. The sparks these two strike off each other are evident to everyone around them and just need the right circumstances to burst into flames.

Pamela Britton has written a fun, fast-paced story with two great characters. This book is all about CJ and Bryce and the budding relationship that only happens because of Bryce’s unrelenting pursuit of CJ. The setting for this story is perfect for the unconventional methods Bryce uses to break down CJ’s defenses and convince her to take a chance on him. Though there are definitely some back and forth moments throughout the story, the ending is really great and very enjoyable.
