This is my first experience with a Jenna Bayley-Burke novel and let me tell you quickly that it is one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. I love her writing style and her ability to tell a story from a fresh perspective and with an unpredictable cast of characters that prove to her readers that she is a superb author. I have seldom read a contemporary romance which held me breathless as quickly or as speedily seized my attention.

Ben Cannon boarded a small airplane at the North Bend Airport and immediately was mesmerized by a beautiful woman whom he felt connected to. Jillian Welch was further in front of him on the undersized plane and, regardless of his intentions, she disappeared before he could catch up with her when they landed. He did not see her again until after he arrived at his destination, Cannon Meadows Resort. He was sure he knew her from somewhere but he certainly could not be sure.

Jillian had followed Ben’s career in college. She attended all his basketball games and, the last time she saw him, she kissed him and ran away. She looked nothing then like she looked now, but she had to see if he was the same man she could never forget. She had no idea he had lusted after her during those absent years.

I loved this book. Her characters were magnificent. Her supporting cast was so important even though, typically, they were not the focal point. I found myself totally immersed in the characters and the story as a whole. There were definitely surprises embedded in this storyline. I can guarantee that you will love the story and recommend it to all your friends. I’m honored to have reviewed this book.
