| Sara was found twenty miles from her father's dead body, severely wounded, with large slashes ripped into her face and leg. They looked like animal claw marks, and they were deep, but Sara survived. No one knew what happened, or at least no one was willing to talk about it.
Sara's grandmother on her mother's side took her to raise, but not out of love, but for revenge. Lynette Redwolf was a crazed, mad woman. She had objected strongly to Kylia's marriage. Lynette wanted nothing to do with her pack; she wanted to be human in every way. But Kylia had embraced her nature and married Bruce Morrighan of the Magnus Pack. Now Lynette had Sara in her power and she would get even with her daughter through Sara. Later, Lynette died and Sara's life was about to do some major changing. She is soon to come face to face with the truth about her parents and herself. While at the club with her best friends, Miki and Angelina, Sara is attacked by two men. She fends them off and meets Zack. Sara's blood quickens and she has to kiss this man. The next day Sara has only a vague idea who Zack is, more like a dream, a very erotic dream at that. She was attracted to him in a powerfully strong way. Sara didn't like the idea of…them. Lately she had been feeling strange, not like herself. Sara was becoming more aggressive and this puzzled her. Zack knew what was wrong with Sara, that is one of the reasons they had come for her. The other was because Sara's life was in danger. The Pride had come to kill her after all these years. He wondered why they had waited. Zack also wondered why Merric hadn't told Sara about herself before now. Sara had a right to know her heritage and a right to chose her own way. What bothered Zack the most was how she affected him. He didn't want a mate; he planed to be Pack Leader. Sara didn't fit into his plans. The Pride wanted Sara dead. Payback for what her mother had done. Zack wouldn't let that happen, he would protect her with his life. This book is fabulous! The characters are great, very colorful in their roles. Sara and her two friends bickering and fighting between each other will have you laughing to tears. There is a strong bond of kinship between the three. The love story is so beautiful. Their passion is what love songs are made of. The secondary characters have just as strong a personality as our hero and heroin. I hope there will be a book for Miki, she's a little spitfire and I just loved her. This is Shelly Laurenston's debut book and she has done an outstanding job. I will be watching for more from her. I believe she has a wonderful future in store for her. This one goes on my keeper shelf so be sure to get your copy of Pack Challenge coming in April. It's a keeper. Enjoy!
