| Quinn White is a professor at Durum College who has been having some
strange dreams of late. In fact, the recurring dreams taunt him
endlessly and he always sees a doorway and a dark-haired woman. He
desperately wishes to discover their meaning and the way they are
linked to him. When he meets Candy at a St. Patrick's party, he
realizes she has a way of helping him forget all about his silly
dreams. In time, the dreams resurface, but this time they take a
dangerous turn. Quinn is left wondering who to trust more, Candy, who
overwhelms him with hot, erotic sexual pleasures, or the dark-haired
woman in the dreams that could possibly be his only salvation.
Open Door is a magnificent read. It grabs you from the first page and has you clinging until the end. The character of Quinn is so fascinating that one cannot help but be drawn into his story. The author did a great job in creating not only the depth of Quinn's character but that of the other characters as well. Open Door weaves a strong sizzling tale where one practically sees all the layers of emotions on Quinn's face as he tries to deal with everything in his life. H.H. Self is an incredible writer. His penmanship is electrically charged with a touch of romance that allows the reader to feel every sensation. He has the uncanny ability to create an erotic romance from a man's perspective. By blending a bit of mystery with hot sensual passion, he quickens the pace of the plot and gives the reader some spine-chilling and eerie excitement. This book was an extremely enjoyable read.
