Tired of her mother's condescending manner towards her concerning life and men, Shellie Chambers feels it's time to get away. It is the perfect opportunity to visit Riley, her high school friend who she misses terribly. After all, he was always the one to rouse her moods and put her back into high spirits whenever the moment called for it, which is exactly what she needs now.

Riley Hamilton never imagined his life turning out the way it has. For one, he's living in the country after inheriting his uncle's farm. Yet, he hasn't regretted the decision until a blast from his past comes knocking at the door, and stirs up old memories that were better left buried.

Author Keri Ford has penned a marvellous short story of two characters that are totally right for each other and qho should have given a relationship between them a try in the past. I really liked Shellie pushing Riley's buttons, and getting him to loosen up so he'd have a constant reminder of what their friendship was like in the past – wild and sometimes carefree. However, Riley denying the chemistry between them, was exasperating at times until he confessed his reasons behind his indifference towards Shellie.

This is a delightful romance not to be missed. It is part of a series, but can be read as a stand alone. The sex scenes as well as the dialogue and plot were great. Especially when Riley finally realised that it is possible for him to settle down, even after everything that's happened in the past, because he's found the right woman in Shellie.
